A helpful guide to diamond selection is understanding the 4C’s – Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat.
CUT The cut of a diamond determines its brilliance. The better the diamond is cut, the
more sparkle it will have.
COLOR A diamond’s color grade refers to the lack of color. ‘White diamonds’ contain little
or no color and receive higher quality grades. Diamonds with more visible color receive
CLARITY Almost all diamonds have tiny imperfections. Diamonds with few or no imperfections receive the highest clarity grades.
CARAT A measure of the diamond’s weight.
